History

Lanvin's story began in 1889 when Jeanne Lanvin had just turned 22 and completed her apprenticeship and then opened a hat shop in the heart of Paris. Later, after four years, she managed to obtain a commercial lease on the prestigious rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and established her eponymous fashion house. In 1987, she had a daughter who became her muse and would use luxurious fabrics to design for her daughter. It was then after having experience that she decided to open a children's clothing department in 1908. Later in 1924 the brand launched its first perfumes.
